Robert "Rob" Tschirn was first licensed to practice in Louisiana in 2008, and joined the firm in March of 2018. His diverse prior experience included representing plaintiffs, insurance defense litigation, and a brief but successful practice with a former law partner, sharpened his ability to evaluate his opponents’ positions, and has increased his awareness of the business needs of his clients. His practice with the firm generally includes insurance defense litigation involving personal injury, maritime, property damage, and bad faith claims
Robert is an experienced litigator, and is licensed to practice in both Louisiana and Texas. He is also a NITA trial certified attorney, and has served as trial counsel and second chair at trials in various cases in Louisiana state courts. He is admitted before all Untied States District Courts in Louisiana, as well as the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Louisiana, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He has also argued before the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal. In addition, where his client’s needs have required it, he has obtained temporary, pro hac vice admissions to practice in federal courts in other states, including New York, New Jersey, and Oklahoma.
In every matter, Robert develops an understanding of his client’s needs, and evaluates the matter to determine the most efficient path to resolution. With that approach, Robert has favorably resolved cases and claims through informal negotiations, motion practice, settlement conferences, meditations, at trial, and on appeal. More than just obtaining favorable outcomes for his clients, Robert strives to deliver clear communication at each step along the way. He is also ever-mindful that how he conducts himself will reflect back on his clients, such that diligence and professionalism are always essential.
