Larry Mobley is a North Carolina native who attended Appalachian State, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a master’s degree in Political Science, focusing on economic and political theory. Larry moved to New Orleans in 2002 to attend Loyola University of New Orleans School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2005.
Larry joined Preis PLC after having practiced law in New Orleans for over fifteen years. His practice concentrates on complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on brokerage firms, financial institutions, investment advisors, hedge funds and publicly traded companies. Larry has substantial experience with Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) arbitrations, SEC and FDIC investigations, and is an active member of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), whose mission is to develop policies and practices which strengthen financial markets and economic growth.
In addition, Larry has extensive experience in litigating and advising various entities on antitrust matters under both federal and state law, breach of contract matters, officer and director liability, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and violations of various consumer protections acts. Larry has also represented numerous architects and engineers in construction related design disputes.
