Carley Faucheux is an associate in the Firm’s New Orleans office. Carley attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, earning a B.A. and graduating magna cum laude. While in undergraduate school, Carley participated in the LSU Study Abroad program at the Universidad de Granada. During her tenure at Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Carley served as the President of the International Law Society, the Cheer Captain for the Barrister’s Bowl Charity Event, and was a member of the LSU Law Running Club and Assault and Flattery Committee. Carley was a Student Attorney for the LSU Law Center Immigration Clinic in Spring 2016 wherein she received a 4.0 grade. Carley also participated in the Domenick Gabrielli National Family Law Moot Court Competition in New York, as well as the LSU Law Ira S. Flory Mock Trial Internal Competition. Carley earned her Juris Doctor, Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law and Graduate Certificate in Energy Law and Policy, graduating cum laude in 2017.
Prior to joining Preis PLC, Carley clerked throughout her second and third years of law school defending municipalities in the state of Louisiana. Since then, Carley’s practice has been primarily litigation-based insurance defense, including workers’ compensation, medical malpractice, and construction defects, with a focus on flood insurance defense. Carley has successfully represented her clients, which include major insurance companies in state and federal district court, during which she gained valuable experience and insight in handling various types of legal matters. Carley also attended the NITA Deposition Skills course in 2019.
